About: A leading trade association in the DC metro area seeks a dynamic and analytical Manager, Regulatory Science to support the Chief Scientist in shaping proactive, solution-oriented regulatory strategies.
Go deeper: Monitor and analyze legislative, regulatory, and scientific developments impacting the chemical industry, providing insights and recommendations. Engage with key U.S. and Canadian regulatory agencies, advocating on behalf of the industry through comment letters, public meetings, and collaborative outreach. Serve as a staff liaison to association committees and task forces, organizing and moderating regulatory trainings for members. Foster relationships with allied associations and industry groups while staying informed on the latest scientific and technical advancements in chemical materials and formulations.
Details: The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Science degree and has 3–5 years of experience in chemical management policy, regulatory science, and risk assessment. Expertise in U.S. and Canadian regulatory systems is required; familiarity with international chemical legislation is a plus. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and comfort with public speaking are essential. This position is hybrid and candidates will be required to travel at least 25% of the time.
