Executive Driver and Security

The Executive Driver and Security professional serves as the primary driver and security support for the President & CEO and, as needed, other members of the executive team. This role provides day-to-day Executive Office support, including coordinating security-related needs, managing deliveries, and offering general operational assistance to ensure safe, seamless executive operations. The position requires a high degree of discretion, sound judgment, and schedule flexibility, including overtime (occasionally up to 50 hours per week) and periodic evenings and weekends.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive driving and security support for the President & CEO, including daily commuting, local and out-of-area travel, and coverage for evening and weekend events.

  • Coordinate and monitor security systems at the President & CEO’s residence, including working with security vendors and relevant partners.

  • Provide driving support for other executives as requested.

  • Maintain the organization’s vehicle used for executive transport, including keeping the interior and exterior clean and professional and scheduling routine maintenance, repairs, and service appointments.

  • Serve as a liaison with member and stakeholder security teams for events at headquarters and other locations, as needed.

  • Coordinate with building security and external security partners to ensure safe, efficient operations.

  • Support Executive Office needs such as deliveries, logistics, and escorting visiting executives and stakeholders, as requested.


Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license issued by the District of Columbia, Virginia, or Maryland, with a clean driving record.

  • Prior security detail experience including defensive driving training, CPR, and first aid; close protection experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance and vehicle care.

  • Willingness and ability to work a varied schedule, including overtime and occasional evenings and weekends.

  • Sound judgment, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality in a high-trust executive environment.

  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

  • Must be able to take and successfully pass post-accident drug and alcohol testing.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to drive for multiple hours at a time.

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position while working on a computer as needed.

  • Ability to move throughout an office environment to access meeting rooms, office equipment, and workspaces.

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers, printers, and copiers.

  • Ability to transport items and equipment up to 25 lbs. on occasion.
